Are you Running on Empty?

  • sarahucoach
  • March 20, 2013

Don’t you hate that feeling when you see the RED fuel light go on.  CRAP!!  I’m running out of gas.  I wonder how far can I go before I totally run out?

Running on Empty takes far more ENERGY than operating with a FULL tank.

Do you ever wish you had that same indicator light on your body so you knew when to pull over and refuel?

How do you feel when you run on EMPTY?

*  Impatient

*  Anxious

*  Defensive

*  Judgmental

*  Stressed Out

*  Angry

*  Resentful

*  Overall fatigue

*  Negative Self Talk

In today’s world, most people are running on fumes.  The reserve tanks are EMPTY.

Your choices, your LIFE is so much easier and automatic by having a reserve.

What do you mean by having a Reserve?

To have a reserve means that you have more than you need in every area of your life:

*  Money

*  Time

*  Rest

*  Personal Space

*  ENERGY

You need a Reserve more than you know.  Just start the process and watch how EASY your life gets and how FREE you feel.  It works.

With a strong reserve you are truly at CHOICE.  You can have more of what you REALLY want and need.  You spend your time doing what fulfills you and you can truly be yourself.

You can try to be yourself without a reserve but it’s rarely sustainable or consistent.  You will be running on fumes again before your know it.

You need a reserve in 10 areas:

1.  Time

2.  Space

3.  Money

4.  Energy

5.  Opportunity

6.  Love

7.  Information

8.  Wisdom

9.  Self

10. Integrity

There are so many benefits to having reserves.  Here are just a few:

*  Freedom from worries

*  Space to GROW

*  Living a peaceful life

*  You attract more of what you REALLY want

Ready to fill your tank to FULL?

Click here to schedule a personal phone coaching session with me.  Together we will:

*  Review Your 10 Current Reserve Areas

*  Identify Your Focus Areas

*  Build Your Personal Reserves

Start refueling NOW!

Warmly,

Coach Sarah

Goals 2013: 10 Week Energy Boost to Reach Your Goals

  • sarahucoach
  • January 4, 2013

Welcome to 2013!

I hope your new year is off to an amazing start and you are enjoying the first days of January.  The new year is a wonderful time to reflect back on accomplishments of the past year and think forward to the year ahead.

Who do YOU want to be in 2013?

What do YOU really want in the new year?

How do YOU plan to get there?

You may have been one of the millions of Americans who sat down on January 1st and wrote down your New Years Resolutions with a list like this.

  • Lose Weight
  • Exercise More
  • Quit Smoking
  • Get out of Debt

Have you had this list in the past?  How successful have you been at achieving these resolutions?

The reason New Years Resolutions like this fail year over year is because:

  • You do not have a clear VISION of what you REALLY want
  • Something is holding you back from changing your HABITS
  • You do not have the SUPPORT you need to be successful

My role as a coach is to support you to reach YOUR Goals which is why I’ve created

GOALS 2013:  10 Week Energy Boost to Reach YOUR Goals

With this course you will receive:

  • Introduction Phone Coaching Session – Tell me what you really want!
  • Goals Creation Session – Brainstorming session for me to listen to help you set specific measurable goals in the categories of:
    • Health
    • Wealth
    • Career
    • Family
    • Friends
    • Romance / Significant Other
    • Fun / Recreation / Travel
    • Spiritual Growth
    • Physical / Home Environment
  • Weekly Phone Coaching sessions with me to keep you ACCOUNTABLE
  • Email Support between sessions to CELEBRATE success each week
  • Individual Lifework exercises to keep you MOTIVATED and Moving Forward

A total of 10 individual phone coaching sessions 30-minutes each.

$197/month (3 month course)

Ready to get started?  Email me at sarahucoach@yahoo.com

What I want for you is to be more mindful of what you really want in 2013 and to support you to CREATE & ACHIEVE your GOALS!

New Year’s Goal Achieving Life Coaching course

  • sarahucoach
  • December 21, 2012

What do you really want in 2013?

The New Year is only 2 weeks away and I’m preparing to kick-off my 3rd annual Vision course; an 8 week New Year’s Goal Achieving Life Coaching course.  Vision 2013 starts on Monday, January 7th.

Do you have something you want to change or achieve in your life in 2013?  Maybe you’d like to….

·        Balance the demands of your life

·        Find more time for yourself

·        Get a new career (or a raise)

·        Start a business

·        Grow an existing business

·        Lose weight

·        De-Clutter your home

·        Eliminate money worries

·        Or Something else

No matter what you’d like to change or achieve, the secrets to success are the same!

 #1 Get Clear.  Be as specific as possible, decide what you REALLY want.  The more clear you are on what you want to have in life, the more likely you are to achieve it.

 #2  Get Perspective.  Most people don’t tell anyone what they want or what they are struggling with and because of that they don’t get an outside perspective.

 #3  Get Support.  Very few people (if any) achieve anything great alone.  Sports stars have teammates and coaches.  Be willing to ask the people in your life to support you.

Ready to get started?  Enroll here

 Do you have something SPECIAL, something important you’d like to change?  If you want to SPEED up your success rate, then I’d like to help you do it with an 8-week coaching course where together we’ll work to….

=> Create a crystal clear vision for ‘ultimate success’ so you know exactly what you want, where you’re headed and what you need to do to make it happen.

=> Uncover hidden challenges that may be sabotaging your ability to make changes that last or that are slowing down your progress

=> Leave each session renewed, re-energized and inspired to finally achieve the change you seek – once and for all.

Starting January 7th, we will meet for the first of 6 individual phone coaching sessions.  Each session is 30 minutes.   The ideal schedule is to meet each week for 3 weeks and then take a week off.  In addition to our individual sessions you will receive weekly Lifework exercises to keep you motivated and moving faster towards reaching your goal.

Are you ready to create your 2013 Vision?

At the end of 8 weeks you will

·        Identify and Zap Energy Drains

·        Create Healthy Daily Habits

·        Clear Out the Clutter in Your Home

3 Ways to Invite More Gratitude to Thanksgiving

  • sarahucoach
  • November 20, 2012

As you prepare to celebrate this day of Thanksgiving I would like to share 3 Ways to Invite More Gratitude to your day.  Please enjoy and share with your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors.

Speak Gratitude:  Prior to starting your Thanksgiving meal, invite each individual at the table to share who or what they are most grateful for over the past year.

Write Gratitude:  Place a piece of paper or small index card at each place setting and invite each person to write down who or what they are most grateful for this year.  Place the cards in a gift bag and before starting your meal pass the bag around the table and have each person draw out a gratitude card and guess who’s gratitude message is shared.

Grow Gratitude:  Start a Thanksgiving Gratitude journal.  Invite each of your family members & friends to write in the journal who or what they are most grateful for this year.  Keep the journal and continue to add to it each year.

I know that there may be loved ones in your life who you are not able to share the holiday with you this year or you may not be able to be with your loved ones.

Please know that the practice of gratitude starts from within.  You may start your Thanksgiving day with your own gratitude journal reflecting on what you are most grateful for this year.

What I want is for each of you to have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Warmly,

Sarah

Extreme Self Care

  • sarahucoach
  • November 7, 2012

What is Extreme Self Care?

Extreme Self Care (or ESC for short) means taking the best possible care of yourself each and every day.

You maybe thinking, I don’t have time to take care of myself.  I have so many other obligations.  My kids, my spouse, my job, my friends, my pets.

What I want you to do is image you are traveling on an airplane and before the jet takes off the flight attendants go through the safety announcements and instruct you to “Put Your Oxygen Mask on First Before Helping Others”  It’s the same logic with Extreme Self Care.  You can not help others unless you are able to breathe yourself.

 My Treat for you this month is to create your own Extreme Self Care routine by Day, Week, Month and Year Extreme Self Care practice.

 Here are a few ideas to get you started.

 Daily Extreme Self Care

*  Taking 20 minutes each morning to plan my day.

*  Allowing myself time to “power down” before going to bed (no tv, laptop, texting, social media updates)

Weekly Extreme Self Care

*  Reading something just for fun

*  Going to my favorite exercise class; Power Yoga, Tabata, Weight Lifting, Boot Camp

Monthly Extreme Self Care

*  Having dinner with friends

*  Getting a massage

Annual Extreme Self Care

*  Going on a relaxing rejuvenating vacation which allows me to “unplug” (little to no technology)

*  Attending my favorite concert

Get the idea!  Ready to get started.

You can add as many things to your Extreme Self Care practice as you want.  The more the better.  Need help creating your ESC practice contact me to schedule an individual coaching session.

Its so important to ramp up your Extreme Self Care practice this time of year, as the leaves start to fall, stress levels start to increase with end of the year deadlines, holiday planning, shopping, traveling and family events.

 What I want for you is to have many treats this holiday season with the first being the gift of Extreme Self Care.  Get started today with a coaching session to make your Extreme Self Care practice perfect for YOU.

 Remember is you don’t take care of your Body, Mind and Spirit no one else will.

 Warmly,

 Coach Sarah

History of Beggars’ Night

  • sarahucoach
  • October 31, 2012

Another treat I would like to share with you is the History of Beggars’ Night.  As some of you know I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa.  Every October 30th, my sisters and I would get dressed up in our Halloween costumes and go door to door telling jokes (our tricks) to get our treats (candy).

For those of you not from Des Moines, you may be thinking what?  You had to tell jokes?  You didn’t just ring the door bell and say “trick-or-treat”

No, this was very creative.  Each child had to tell a different joke or riddle.  The jokes went something like this.

Why didn’t the skeleton cross the road?
He didn’t have any guts.

Why did Dracula visit the blood bank?
He needed to make a withdrawal.

Growing up I thought that kids all over the country were doing the same thing.  It wasn’t until after I graduated from Iowa State and moved to Chicago that I learned that this is a Des Moines tradition.  My 1st Halloween in Chicago I asked my co-worker what jokes his kids were going to tell and he looked at me like I had 7 eyes.  Jokes?  What are you talking about?  I asked “Don’t your kids have to tell jokes?” and he said no.  I received the same response when I moved to Kansas City.

I did a little research to find out the history of this tradition.  Beggars’ night was created in Des Moines in 1931 by Kathryn Krieg, a director of recreation for the Des Moines Playground Commission.  She noticed that numerous youths were arrested for the pranks they played on Halloween. The flash point came on Halloween in 1938 when Des Moines police answered a record 550 calls concerning vandalism.

Krieg and another community group began a campaign to encourage less violent forms of Halloween fun.

They set aside Oct. 30 as Beggars’ Night and got the word out to the public that on that night – and only that night – children would be allowed to go door-to-door and say the phrase “tricks for eats.” The council urged that “eats should be given only if such a ‘trick’ as a song, a poem, a stunt or a musical number, either solo or in group participation, is presented.”

For the past 81 years the children of Greater Des Moines have put on their costumes and gone door to door on October 30th telling jokes and riddles.  For the full story click here Des Moines Register

What is your favorite corny joke or knock-knock riddle?

Happy Halloween!!!

Dream Big…..Believing is Powerful

  • sarahucoach
  • October 3, 2012

Over the past week  I’ve experienced 2 amazing stories on the power of Dreaming Big and I would like to share my stories with you.

My first amazing story.  I had the opportunity to meet Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger on Friday.  Rudy became the inspiration for millions when the film depicting his journey as a Notre Dame football player became one of the most influential sports movies ever made.  To meet the man himself and hear him speak about his journey was amazing and I can’t wait to read his book “Rudy, My Story”. I would like to share his key messages:

Be Grateful.  Express Gratitude each day

Don’t listen to the Goofy Thoughts.  Those negative voices in your head that say “I can’t do this” or “I’m not good enough” or “I don’t deserve this”

Believe in Yourself. Change those goofy thoughts into POWER thoughts “Yes, I can” and “Yes, I AM good enough” and “Yes, I DO deserve this”

Surround yourself with people who believe in you too.  Create your own Cheering Section.

Just like in the movie when there were only a few minutes left in the game and they players on the sidelines started chanting “Rudy, Rudy, Rudy” and then the whole stadium started chanting his name and the coach let him in for the final plays of the game.  Notre Dame won the game and Rudy was carried off by his teammates whom he inspired.

What a wonderful story of hard work, dedication, team work and believing YOU CAN DO IT!

            There are 12 weeks left in 2012.

           What do you REALLY want to accomplish in the next 12 weeks?

           I want to be YOUR coach, YOUR cheerleader, to help get you across the finish line!

Contact me today at sarahucoach@yahoo.com for the details & to get started.

The second amazing story I would like to share with you is seeing Eric Church in concert at the Sprint Center in Kansas City on Saturday night.

For those of you who do not know of Eric Church, he is a country music singer with current hits “Springsteen” and “Drink in My Hand.”  I first saw him on a CMT extra as an up and coming new artist in 2006.  Shortly after seeing him on CMT I heard he was performing at the Beaumont Club in Kansas City; a small venue.  About 50 people were in attendance that night.  I remember he was so grateful to be there.  Playing the songs he wrote and taking requests from the crowd.

I even had an opportunity to meet him after the concert.

Over the years I followed his career seeing him in concert at smaller venues, playing free shows, performing at the Iowa State Fair, opening for larger acts, but on Saturday to see him as the headliner of his own tour to a sold out arena of 18,000 nearly brought tears to my eyes.

He released his 1st album in 2006 and got his 1st headlining arena tour in 2012.  Three albums and six years later.  He didn’t give up.  He cultivated a devoted fan base without sacrificing musical integrity and self expression.  He built his following slowly but the hard work has finally paid with his 1st ever Grammy nomination and Best Country Album of the Year “Chief”

He like Rudy never gave up on his dream.  Following their passion.  Being grateful, Believing in yourself, Surrounding yourself with good people.  Having those cheerleaders in your life to keep rooting your on to reach your goals.

There are 12 weeks left in 2012.

What do you REALLY want to accomplish in the next 12 weeks?

I want to be YOUR coach, YOUR cheerleader, to help get you across the finish line!

I have space to add 3 wonderful amazing clients to my coaching practice.  I’d like to fill these spots immediately so I’m offering a juicy incentive for the 1st month of coaching to make this decision easier for you.  Contact me today at sarahucoach@yahoo.com for the details and we can get started.

What I want for you is to Dream BIG and cheer to across the finish line in 2012.

Warmly,

Sarah

How Sharp Are Your Networking Skills?

  • sarahucoach
  • September 25, 2012

I’m not talking about how pretty your business card looks or how firm your handshake is or how well you can work the room at a Networking event. Granted those are all excellent skills to have but what I am talking about is how well You network each and every day.

Networking starts from within. Knowing Who you are, What you really want and How you are going to get there are the 3 keys to success.

Who are You?

Being open, genuine and authentic is the best way to network. It is so important to know who you are. Take a few minutes to answer these questions:

What am I really good at?

How do I like to add value?

What do I want to achieve?

What Do You Really Want?

Growing from connection is a common desire we each have. Developing a rich and powerful connection with those you work with fosters a flow of creative energy. When connection is in place, creativity happens spontaneously and naturally. This is the best way to network….it happens naturally.

Connecting with others generates great growth potential.

Who can you connect with today?

How are you going to get there?

In the age of social media staying connected has never been easier. However, you may feel bombarded as there are many ways to stay connected. I recommend LinkedIN as the best way to stay connected with your professional network.

Here are a few fun facts about LinkedIn as of August 2, 2012:

  • 175 million members in over 200 countries and territories which makes LinkedIn the largest professional network on the Internet
  • 62% of LinkedIn members are located outside of the United States
  • LinkedIn members did nearly 4.2 billion professionally-oriented searches on the platform in 2011 and are on pace to surpass 5.3 billion in 2012.
  • 2 million companies have LinkedIn pages
  • 1 million LinkedIn groups

 WOW!!! That’s a lot of connections.

Are you already one of the 175 million members?

Do you have a complete LinkedIn profile?

Do you have a recent professional photo posted?

Do you have more than one position listed?

Do you have recommendations?

If you answered “Hmmm, I don’t know” or “No” to any of the above questions now is a great time to complete your profile. This month I’m offering a special limited time offer:

*****************************************************************************************

Special $79 LinkedIn Profile Review & 30 minute phone coaching session

******************************************************************************************

You will receive the following:

  • Complete LinkedIn profile review
  • Strategies on how to complete your profile
  • Action plans on how to make LinkedIn work for You
  • 30 minute phone coaching session with Coach Sarah

Click here to sign up for this special limited time offer or email me at sarahucoach@yahoo.com

Don’t have a LinkedIn profile yet. No worries we can start building one together. Click here to sign up

Since I’m making this offer for the 1st time right now and I don’t know how intense the response will be, I can’t guarantee a LinkedIn profile review for everyone.

I’ll take as many people as I can and then start a waiting list.  You can expect to get contacted by me to schedule your profile review within 3 business days.

Again, to take advantage of this offer, email me at sarahucoach@yahoo.com to schedule your LinkedIn Profile Review & phone coaching session.

Can’t wait to review your LinkedIn profile!
