About Me

Hello, I’m Sarah Uchytil and I would like to share my story with you.

My Journey

I grew up in Urbandale, Iowa (a suburb of Des Moines) and graduated from Iowa State University with my degree in Accounting.  Two weeks after graduation, I moved to Chicago and spent the first 3 years of my career working in accounting and business consulting.  In 2000, I moved to Kansas City and continued my career in financial analysis.  In 2007, I was a Pricing Manager for Sprint.  I enjoyed my job.  I had a ton of responsibility.  I worked my ass off.  On a business trip to San Francisco, I confided in one of my female co-workers that I was exhausted & drained.  I felt like a hamster on a wheel, running and running in the same place.  She told me she started working with a Life Coach and was getting great results.  I asked her, “What’s a Life Coach?” She explained they are personal trainers for your life & career.  You can go to the gym and work out with a personal trainer.  Life Coaches are personal trainers for your life.

I researched coaches and found one I really resonated with.  I started making positive changes in my life & my career.  I learned how to identify and remove my energy drains.  I started focusing on what I really wanted.  I learned how to set healthy boundaries in my personal and professional life.  I achieved the balanced I wanted for my life.  However, I still saw so many friends and co-workers on that hamster wheel.

My WHY

During my 1×1 sessions with my coach, I uncovered my strengths, skills, needs and values.  I discovered that I had the passion and desire to be a coach myself.  Both of my parents are teachers.  The translation of my last name Uchytil means Teacher.  I see coaching as an advanced form of teaching.   Continual learning is a corner stone in my personal foundation.  I believe in empowering individuals to live their best life and do their ideal work.

What Makes Me Uniquely Qualified to be Your Coach

I am a graduate of Coach University, a leading global provider of coach training programs.  In 2011, I received my Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and in 2016 I became a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) though the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I have 18 years of experience in accounting, finance and business consulting.  I understand navigating transitions in corporate America, and I know what it is like to leave a corporate job and start a business from the ground up.

In 2015, I became a certified yoga instructor to deepen my personal practice over the past 15 years and to learn the best practices of yoga & meditation to share and incorporate with my coaching clients.  I incorporate meditation as one of many self-care tools to empower clients to dissolve limiting beliefs and remove road blocks which get in the way.

How I Add Significant Value

Coaching is an investment in your future.  As your coach I will listen to you, understand your needs and what you really want your life and career to look like going forward. During your 1×1 coaching sessions I will ask you powerful questions to help you gain clarity, create awareness, build momentum and develop action steps to keep you moving forward on shaping the life and career you really want.

As your coach, I am your accountability and success partner.  Coaching is a powerful process, and you will get out of coaching what you put into it. Your results will vary depending your personal work and level of commitment to achieve your goals.

Are you ready to ELEVATE your LIFE?
