When life feels out of control, get grounded.

Have you ever been in a season where it feels like everything is happening at once?
Your career feels uncertain.
Your job search feels exhausting.
You’re waiting for someone else to make a decision.
You’re wondering, What’s next?
And the harder you try to control the outcome, the more overwhelmed you feel.
You don’t have to have everything figured out to feel grounded.
Being grounded doesn’t mean everything around you is calm.
It means you are steady enough within yourself to respond to whatever comes next.
So when life, career, or your job search feels out of control, come back to what you CAN control:
🌿 Your breath.
Pause. Breathe. Get out of your head and back into your body.
🌿 Your thoughts.
Ask yourself: Is this fact… or fear?
🌿 Your energy.
Stop spending precious energy on things you cannot influence.
🌿 Your next step.
You may not know the entire path.
But you can almost always identify one thing you can do today.
Send the email.
Make the connection.
Have the conversation.
Apply for the opportunity.
Update your LinkedIn.
Ask for help.
Or simply take a walk and clear your head.
One grounded step at a time.
And remember:
A layoff doesn’t diminish your value.
A rejection doesn’t define your potential.
A season of uncertainty doesn’t mean you’re lost.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is stop trying to control the entire future…
…and plant your feet firmly in the present.
Take a breath.
Trust yourself.
Focus on what you can control.
Then take the next step.
You don’t need to know exactly where you’re going to move forward. You just need to stay grounded enough to recognize the next right step when it appears.
💚 What is ONE thing you can control today?
With Gratitude,
Sarah
