Feeling drained by your job, but unsure what to do next?

  • sarahucoach
  • April 18, 2025

Feeling drained by your job, but unsure what to do next?
You’re not alone — and you don’t have to stay stuck.
A client recently came to me feeling exactly like that:
😓 Exhausted
😣 Frustrated
❓ Unsure how to move forward
He was stuck in a toxic work environment with poor leadership and no clear path ahead.
But once we started working together, everything changed.
He’s kindly given me permission to share his story — not just to inspire, but to show what’s possible when you decide to take action.
✨ Why did you reach out for coaching?
“I was desperate to leave a job with toxic culture and bad management — and I needed to move fast.”
📈 What results did you get?
Tangible:
✅ Multiple late-round interviews
✅ Accepted an offer at a dream job
Intangible:
✅ Rediscovered my strengths
✅ Gained confidence and clarity in my value
✅ Felt competitive in the job market again
💡 What did coaching help you with?
Telling my story powerfully — on paper and in interviews
Reframing challenges into strengths
Highlighting what made me stand out, not what held me back
💬 What stood out most?
“Sarah’s confidence, expertise, and constant encouragement. I walked in feeling defeated and left feeling empowered. I realized I was a much stronger candidate than I gave myself credit for.”
💸 Was it worth the investment?
“Absolutely. I couldn’t have made this change alone. Her support through the entire process — especially negotiation — helped me land a better offer than I would’ve ever asked for myself.”
🧠 Why does coaching work?
“Because Sarah helps you see your own value. She pulled out the gold in my story and helped me present it in a way that truly resonated with hiring teams.”
📣 If you see yourself in this story, it might be time to stop spinning your wheels and start building a career you’re actually excited about.
Let’s talk. This could be your tuning point 👇

Don’t you love a great three-point play

  • sarahucoach
  • March 26, 2025

Happy March Madness! Don’t you love a great three-point play?

This past week, I had the privilege of helping three clients land new jobs—each at different stages of their careers:
✅ One early in her career
✅ One with 10 years of experience
✅ One later in her career

They also came from different industries:
🔹 Marketing
🔹 Finance
🔹 IT Project Management

At first glance, they may seem completely different. But what did they have in common?

They were motivated, driven, and believed in themselves—with a little guidance from me.
✨ They gained clarity in their mindset.
✨ They defined the exact roles they wanted.
✨ They refined their messaging for networking and interviews.

And the result? They all landed the jobs they wanted!

Are you ready to be part of a winning team? Let’s work together to secure your ideal next role. Message me—I’d love to help!

Taming Your Monkey Mind

  • sarahucoach
  • February 24, 2025

I don’t know about you, but last week was really rough for me.

Between below freezing temperatures, being sequestered inside for 3 days in a row, and the uncertainty of what’s going on in the world, my monkey mind was in full force.

If you haven’t heard the term monkey mind before, let me tell you what it is.

We all have mental chatter and noise in our minds, commonly known as the monkey mind. This phenomenon involves a continuous stream of thoughts that lead us through daydreams, relationship analyses, and future worries, leaving us feeling overwhelmed and perplexed.

One effective approach to manage this chaotic mental state is meditation.

Surprisingly, when you attempt to clear your mind for meditation, you inadvertently give the monkey mind more permission to play. This presents an opportunity to tame this mental chatter by becoming aware of your thoughts.

The subtle shift from thinking a thought to simply being aware of it is crucial. By acknowledging your thoughts without getting entangled in them, you can allow them to pass without being swept in different directions. Cultivating the ability to focus is a key tool in slowing down the thought process and directing attention towards observing thoughts.

To enhance your focus, a helpful starting point is concentrating on your breath during meditation. Whenever the monkey mind becomes restless, acknowledge your thoughts and then redirect your focus to your breath.

Additionally, gazing at a candle can be captivating, aiding in mental control. Maintain a gentle gaze on the flame, noting its color, shape, and movements trying not to blink.

Now, that the temperature is above freezing this week, walking meditation or a nature meditation is another wonderful way to calm your monkey mind. Walking, breathing in the fresh air, focusing on breath to movement is also very calming.

Regardless of the method you choose to calm the monkey mind, approach it with compassion.

Through consistent practice, you can achieve a state of tranquility where the monkey mind grows quiet, and you become calm and still.

Some days are harder to calm your monkey mind than others. Be patient with yourself.

Celebrating Timber Creek Retreat House

  • sarahucoach
  • January 28, 2025

✨ It’s Celebration Friday ✨ Today I am celebrating with my friends Beth and Tom Jacobs at Timber Creek Retreat House. I found Timber Creek in September 2020. I was exhausted. Physically, mentally, emotionally. I felt like I was going to implode if I didn’t get away and take time just for me. I called Timber Creek & Tom answered the phone and I asked to book a room. He kindly told me that they were closed due to Covid & the tone of my voice just dropped. He said “I can hear it in your voice that you need to get away. We are allowing individuals to come if you are healthy & hadn’t been exposed to Covid”

I instantly said YES, I’m healthy when can I come. The next day I found myself driving to Drexel, Missouri. As I drove down the gravel road, I could feel my stress starting to melt away as I saw the gorgeous retreat house. Tom greeted me at the door & gave me a tour and showed me to my room. I stayed in Oak which overlooks the meditation pond.

For 2 blissful days I was nestled in nature. I slowed down. I practiced yoga & meditation. I listened to mother nature’s soundtrack as I walked on the trails. I turned off my phone. I didn’t watch tv. I slept in a very comfy bed.

When I turned off the outside noise, I was really able to listen to what I really wanted. What I really needed in my life. I got peace & clarity. I felt rested, restored & renewed.

This is why I go to Timber Creek. This is why I’ve led 8 weekend retreats at Timber Creek since September 2020.

Today, I would like to invite you to join me at Timber Creek February 7th – 9th for Intention 2025 – Namaste Weekend at Timber Creek.

Give yourself the gift of peace, quiet & clarity. Only 2 rooms available. Please message me to sign up today. Namaste  Intention 2025 – Sarah U Coach

Today is my 10-year anniversary of being a Leadership, Life & Career Coach.

However, this wasn’t the first thought when I woke up this morning. My first thought was how can I serve my community of wonderful, amazing coaching clients today? What message do they need to hear most from me?

My Monday morning ritual is writing my Monday Morning Motivation email to share with this group of individuals who want to take inspired action and create significant change in their lives.

What Would You Do If You Weren’t Afraid?

  • sarahucoach
  • December 20, 2024

10 years ago, I was asked this powerful question
What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
My response
I’d leave my corporate job and coach full time.
Today, I am celebrating my 10-year anniversary of graduating from my corporate career at Sprint and starting Sarah Uchytil Coaching. I am so incredibly grateful for the life & career I’ve created.
I’d like to share with you my Top 10 lessons I’ve learned over the past decade.
1. Be in an environment which allows you to thrive. If you aren’t thriving, make the adjustment you need to.
2. Surround yourself with people who motivate, inspire and energize you.
3. Get clear and know what you need to feel valued, appreciated & supported.
4. Self-Care is non-negotiable. When you take the best care of yourself physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually you are in alignment.
5. Listen to your intuition. Your gut is never wrong.
6. Turn your wild & crazy ideals into your reality.
7. Have an abundant mindset. There is enough love, time & money for everyone.
8. Cheer on others. Celebrate the success of your friends, your clients, your peers. This will generate high vibe energy. Remove negative low vibe energy from your life.
9. Believe in perfect timing, messages from the universe & God winks.
10. It takes grit, gumption & determination to follow your vision, mission, purpose & passion. Have the courage to make the leap.
